Flockages

Flockages is a speculative project taking a critical look at parametricism and the infantile steps of the post-digital. It was a study looking into forms causing estrangement, defamiliarization, and repulsion. These particular forms were inspired by a critique of the digital inspired by biological forms and are reminiscent of forms of the microscopic. They subvert their scale through the variety of settings in which they are placed. The drawing attempts to replicate some of these effects through the reverberation or fuzziness caused by line-types and weights.
